Wael Ahmed Matar was born in Kuwait in 1970. In 1992 Wael won the Syrian Power lifting Championship in Damascus, but didn't participate in Bodybuilding Contests at the time in Syria because he knew that it was definitely not natural. Currently Wael works at the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus as the Manager of their Health Club. Previously he worked at US Embassy in Damascus as a Bodyguard of the Ambassador and sometimes as a Trainer for the Marines.
