Daniel Exintaris, a player in the Queensland Rugby League (QRL) has received a sanction for attempting to use clenbuterol in 2007. The sanction was imposed last month (25 June 2009) by the Australian Rugby League (ARL) Drugs Tribunal following an investigation conducted by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA). His sanction will apply across all WADA compliant sports until 7 January 2010. Mr Exintaris joined INBA in 2008 and will also be banned from competing in any INBA events this year. This case is another example how INBA’s association with ASADA and WADA extends the protection of natural bodybuilders beyond just our drug testing program.
