From 2008 three QLD competitors were banned after our drug testing. Jud Hart tested positive for both Anastrozole (hormone antagonist) and Testosterone (anabolic agent). He received a two year ban across all sports under our drug policy and a life ban from INBA for Misconduct. INBA considers testing positive to multiple banned substances as unacceptable. Gerard Broeren tested positive for Furosemide (diuretic), Nandrolone (anabolic agent), and Testosterone (anabolic agent). He received a two year ban across all sports under our drug policy and a life ban from INBA for Misconduct. INBA considers testing positive to multiple banned substances as unacceptable. Nathan Wallace tested positive for Oxilofrine (stimulant) but successfully proved to ASADA that there was no intention to cheat or gain a performance enhancement and only received a 3 month sanction that has already been served and he is able to compete with INBA at any time. Further QLD adverse results from 2008 are still to be finalised. Due to the high number of doping breaches in QLD, the 2009 Brisbane Titles on 17 May was blitz-tested by ASADA with 20 competitors randomly drug tested. The adverse outcome of these tests will be announced later.
